Roof Replacement Process

Demolition

Cover the exterior of the house, including siding and windows, with tarps to protect against debris. Remove all existing shingles and felt paper completely, ensuring a clean surface for the new installation.

Inspect and Repair

Inspect the roof deck thoroughly for any signs of damage or rot. Replace any rotted areas with new plywood as needed to ensure structural integrity.

Underlayment

Install new ice and water shield along all eaves, valleys, and edges of the roof to prevent water infiltration. Install aluminum drip edge along all edges of the roof to direct water away from the fascia and into the gutters. Cover the entire roof with synthetic underlayment, ensuring it is properly overlapped and secured.

Shingle installation

Nail down the asphalt shingles according to manufacture specifications, ensuring a proper alignment and coverage.

Ventilation

Install new Ridge vent at the peak of the roof to promote airflow and prevent heat buildup. Place shingle caps above the ridge vent to protect it from the elements. Install new aluminum counter flashing around the chimney to create a watertight seal.
